TAC Adventure Camp is our premier physical literacy multi-sport program. Our dynamic and fun program covers popular group sports (soccer and basketball), individual sports (tennis, dance, and gymnastics), and basic martial arts and self-defense.

The daily activities include not only multi-sport training but other activities such as arts and crafts, storytime, camp songs, and low-organizational games where campers learn fundamental social and movement skills. Our program fosters creativity and imagination while building the foundation for future sports success.

Toronto Athletic Camps (TAC Sports), operating since 2011, is unique among sport education academies. TAC Sports develops athletes and leaders. We create a positive environment full of support and motivation.  We strive to build the life skills, sports skills, and self-confidence of our students. Our systems and methods are developed by Kinesiology and Sports Psychology graduates, using the latest trends in sports psychology and physical development methods to achieve the greatest growth in our students.

With specialized sport instruction, low student-to-coach ratios and an encouraging learning environment, every student will get the level of attention required to improve their skill level. Our challenge levels ensure that our students are progressing at a pace that is safe for their current development levels. Children can choose to specialize in one of four sports: tennis, basketball, soccer, mixed martial arts, dance and swim.

The coaches provide a physical literacy assessment of each child at the beginning of lesson programs and camps and then place children in groups accordingly. The coaches take the time to really know all of the children. From the mini-star® stage to the mega-star® ranks, our sport instructors have experience coaching at every level focused on delivering expert instruction in each sport at Toronto Athletic Camps.

Breton shuffleboard is a precision sport played between 2 players or 2 teams (from 2 to 4 players). To score points, players must throw the cast iron pucks on the wooden board and get close to the jack (the smallest puck). Even if we talk about shuffleboard, it is a sport because there are federations and national and international competitions. (Wikipedia)

Race walking is a discipline that is practised according to distance tests (20 to 50km) that participants must cover as quickly as possible. The support leg must be fully extended (not bent at the knee) from the moment the foot touches the ground until it is behind the body.

Basic race walking generally begins beyond 50 km, which is where speed walking ends. But classically, long distance races cover at least 100 km. There are events that cover very different distances, e.g. 100 km, 150 km, 200 km etc. There are also long-distance races (or ultra-marathons), which are much longer, like the Paris-Colmar covering a distance of nearly 450 kilometres.

Sports walking is practised freely or within a framework, at a faster pace than walking in everyday life (up to 8 km/h), on landscaped terrain or a treadmill.

Jogging is wellness running that anyone can do to feel good in their body, clear their minds, stay in shape or just for fun, without a performance objective.

Road running is a set of athletic disciplines, part of the category of non-stadium races, which encompasses all the pedestrian races that take place outside the athletic track on paved roads. These are usually cross-country or ultra-marathon races.

Trail running consists of running on trails in nature and in the mountains. This sport offers a sense of discovery and freedom.

Sled dog racing is a sporting competition where teams of sled dogs pull a sled driven by a musher on snow or ice using harnesses and towlines. Horseback riding is a recreational and outdoor activity that involves riding for a short time on various routes.

Peteca is an ancestral sport from Brazil. It's a mix between volleyball, badminton and Basque pelota. The game involves hitting the peteca, a kind of big shuttlecock made of four big feathers on a rubber base, with the hand, from one side of a net to the other.

Doma vaquera is an equestrian discipline with its own rules, regulations and competitions. As with all equestrian disciplines, doma vaquera is governed by many rules, which aim to respect the Andalusian tradition. The costume and accessories of the vaquero, the harnessing and the grooming of the horses, the equestrian technique are set by the regulations. The Equestrian All-Around Competition (or EAC) is an equestrian sport that brings together the following three distinct events in one discipline: a show jumping event, a dressage event, and a cross-country event:  cross country or cross country.

Ethological riding is inspired by equine ethology. It consists of interacting with a horse while taking into account the psychological peculiarities of the animal.

Horse-ball is an equestrian team sport adapted from the game of Argentinean Pato and Asian Bouzkachi, which opposes two teams of 4 to 6 players (4 on the field, with the others in reserve). It is played with a ball equipped with six straps. The goal is to score goals against the opponent by throwing the ball in a hoop that at a certain height. Matches are played in two halves of 10 minutes.

Show jumping involves jumping over various obstacles, which must not fall during the competition. They jump single or combination obstacles or courses of obstacles.

Equestrian vaulting is an individual or team equestrian sport that consists of performing acrobatic and aesthetic figures on a horse that is walking or galloping at a constant pace in a circle.

Flag football is derived from Canadian and American football where tackles are replaced by tearing strips of cloth (called flags) hung on the belt of the players. There are several versions of this sport, depending on the type of game surface (indoor, beach, lawn), the authorization or not of the contacts, and the number of players. The most common variant is “5-on-5 non-contact” game. As its name indicates, contacts are prohibited, which brings a more technical and strategic dimension to American football.

Cani-walk and cani-hiking are the sports of walking and hiking with a dog in a harness. The equipment is the same as for canicross.

Frescobol is a racket sport that is usually played on the beach. Two players try to strike a rubber ball back and forth as many times as possible without dropping the ball. It is therefore necessary to adapt according to the relative abilities of the players. Once the players feel able, they gradually increase the distance between them and try to establish a regular rhythm. This maximizes the rallies and the enjoyment of the game.

Football is a team sport opposing two teams of eleven players who alternate between defence and attack. The goal of the game is to score points by carrying or throwing the ball to the opponent's in-goal zone.

Paddle tennis is a racket sport derived from tennis, played on a smaller court, enclosed by walls and fences. Scoring is done in the same as tennis and the balls used have a slightly lower pressure. It is played only in doubles and the service must be done underarm. The biggest difference with tennis, however, is that the ball can be played after it rebounds off the walls or enclosure, like in squash.

Racketball is a racket sport. It is played according to squash rules adapted to a Gaelic handball court with a shortened tennis racket and a ball that is bigger than a squash ball and faster than a tennis ball. The goal of racketball is to win points by preventing the opponent from returning the ball to the main wall before it bounces twice or when a fault is made. Golf is a precision sport played outdoors that involves sending a ball into a hole using clubs. The goal of the game is to hit as few shots as possible on a specific course. Precision, endurance, technical skill and concentration are essential to this activity.

Ice hockey, most often called hockey, is a team sport played on a specially equipped ice rink. The goal of each team is to score goals by sending a vulcanized rubber disc, called a puck, inside the opposing goal at one end of the rink. The team consists of several lines of five players, who take turns on the ice, as well as a goaltender, who move about on ice skates and handle the puck with a hockey stick also called a “crosse” in France.

Bandy is a team sport and ancestor of ice hockey. Bandy is played on frozen soccer fields. Each team has eleven players on the field. Players with skates play with a stick and a small orange cork ball. The offside system is similar to that used in soccer. A game has two forty-five minutes halves with a break of fifteen minutes in between. The goalkeeper does not have a stick, he stops shots in hand.

Inline hockey, often referred to by the more generic term "roller hockey", which also includes the discipline of rink hockey, or by its English name inline hockey, sometimes abbreviated as RILH, is one of the roller hockey disciplines. Roller hockey, also known as rink hockey, is a roller-skating discipline. This team sport is practised with traditional skates more commonly known as quads and a stick made of wood or, more rarely, carbon. Called hardball hockey in the United States and rollhockey in Germany, it can also be referred to by the more general term roller hockey which also encompasses the discipline of inline roller hockey. Roller hockey is played by teams of five players (one goalkeeper and four outfield players), plus substitutes, on a rectangular rink usually made of concrete or flooring. Street hockey is a variation of ice hockey where the game is played outdoors on foot, or with rollerblades or rollerskates using a ball or puck. Lacrosse is a team sport of Native American origin where players use a stick to put a ball in the opponent's goal. The original sport is today called lacrosse in the field. From it were born two other variants of lacrosse: female lacrosse in the 1890s in Scotland, then box lacrosse in the 1930s.

5-a-side soccer is a variant of soccer that is played with 5 players on a small pitch (18 to 20m wide and 30 to 35m long) with a synthetic coating.

Freestyle BMX is a BMX discipline. It consists of performing air and flatland tricks on a BMX bike, which is smaller and stronger than a conventional bike. It contains five types of events, the most popular competitive events being the Park events, which takes place in a skatepark.

BMX Supercross is a BMX discipline. This is a race between eight competitors who have to complete a track covering 340 to 400 m. This track has bumps for jumping or rolling over by wheeling the bike on the rear wheel.

Bike-jöring is a canine sport that is defined as the union of a dog and a cyclist, interconnected and doing the same physical effort on a marked course.

Downhill mountain biking (DH) is a sporting discipline in which the goal is to descend on an MTB specially designed for slopes across the mountain in the shortest possible time. The rider must demonstrate commitment, technical skills and a keen sense of flying to tackle the roots, tilts, bumps, jumps and other natural obstacles encountered on a descent.

All-mountain is a practice out of competition, which is similar to trekking in the mountains. It is a versatile discipline with bikes that can do almost anything. It is not uncommon to push or carry the bike on mountain routes when certain sections are not suitable for riding. The all-mountain bike may also have the name of Mountain. Those who practise this discipline generally prefer trails to the wide slopes of mountain pastures, because of the challenging steering required.

Soccer opposes 2 teams of 11 players on a grass, synthetic or shale pitch. Soccer cleats and balls are two iconic accessories of this sport.

Cross country MTB is a sport where the goal is to get to a specific location by bike as soon as possible, through hard climbs and technical descents. Depending on the type of course and speed, cross-country mountain biking can be a recreational sport and competitive sport generally practised off road.

Trail riding, which is similar to hiking and cycling, is probably the most popular discipline of mountain biking. This is a more or less sporty way of covering various types of paths. There are a large number of marked hiking trails for permanent and occasional walks organized by clubs or associations.

Cyclo-cross is a cycling discipline that is practiced in the fall and during the winter. The circuit is composed of paths, meadows, and even sand like on the Koksijde cyclo-cross, as well as some roada; Artificial obstacles are placed on the circuit to force participants to dismount and carry the bike. To skip these occasional obstacles, some practise the bunny hop.

Road cycling is one of the disciplines of cycling. It is practiced by amateurs and professional athletes in many countries. . It has parallels with other track cycling or cyclo-cross and many riders do more than one discipline. Road cycling is a very demanding sport that is distinguished from cycling, which is an amateur sport that is done for recreation or tourism. As an individual or team sport, road cycling is a matter of endurance and tactics. Knowing how to conserve energy is essential.

Bicycle touring is tourism on a bicycle. We cannot separate the two aspects of this activity which is primarily recreational and, from the outset, not competitive. Cycle tourism is about exploring sites, landscapes, places to go to meet people using the bicycle as a means of locomotion.

Gravel riding mixes sections on roads and on trails, paths and walkways. It is similar to cyclo-cross, but not as performance-focused. Trips are usually longer and therefore need for extra comfort.

Track cycling is usually practised on special tracks or at a velodrome. The bikes always have fixed gears. So, unlike with freewheeling bikes, riders have to pedal continuously until the bike comes to a complete stop.

Urban cycling is a physical activity that consists of cycling various distances in flat or hilly urban and suburban settings.

Futsal is played between two teams of five players on a 20m x 40m pitch covered with a smooth surface (parquet, PVC, tarmac). It is played with the feet but with a low-bounce ball.

Weight training is a set of physical exercises aimed at developing skeletal muscles, in order to gain strength, endurance, power, explosiveness or muscle volume. In these exercises, a force (e.g. weight of dumbbells or one’s body weight) is repeatedly opposed to the force generated by the contraction of the muscles. This activity is usually done in a gym.

Bodybuilding is a performance discipline and an art that consists mainly in developing one's muscle mass (hypertrophy) for aesthetic purposes and then displaying this by performing set poses, with or without a choreography.

Powerlifting is a strength sport. It is like weightlifting in that it involves lifting bars, but it is different in that its movements are technically more basic, the loads heavier and the amplitude smaller.
