Je suis présentement un joueur de basketball professionnel en Europe. Mon parcours en tant que basketteur est assez rempli. J’ai eu la chance de jouer au dans une école secondaire aux États-Unis. C’est là que j’ai su faire mes preuves. Ainsi, j’ai été classé parmi les 50 meilleurs joueurs aux États-Unis par ESPN Recruiting. J’ai également eu la chance de représenter le Canada dans 3 championnats du monde (Allemagne et San Antonio en 2010, Lituanie en 2012). J’ai ensuite poursuivi mon évolution dans l’une des plus prestigieuses universités de basketball en division 1 aux États-Unis. C’est durant ces trois années d’expérience que j’ai pris part au March Madness. En 2018, j’ai eu l’honneur de porter les couleurs de mon pays d’origine de la République Démocratique du Congo pour les qualifications des Jeux Olympiques en Tunisie.  

Entre mes contrats professionnels pour aller jouer dans différents pays, et lorsque je suis de retour à Montréal, j’aime également offrir mon temps à des programmes de basketball tels que Les Monarques de Montréal, Page Basketball et les Vikings du Collège de Maisonneuve. Je peux ainsi les assister dans leurs entrainements de basketball plus avancés. Tout au long de ma carrière, j’ai dû travailler auprès des jeunes enfants afin de démontrer l’importance du sport dans la vie scolaire. Travailler auprès des enfants m’a fait découvrir une passion pour l’enseignement du basketball. Cette passion m’a motivé à créer mon propre camp de basketball à Montréal en 2018.  

Mon objectif est d’utiliser l’impact que j’ai sur les jeunes comme outil pour les motiver, les conseiller et inculquer en eux une discipline autant dans le sport que dans les études. En d’autres mots, je suis un mentor et un conseiller pour plusieurs jeunes basketteurs Montréalais qui évoluent dans des institutions athlétiques au Canada comme aux États-Unis.

I am currently a professional basketball player in Europe. My career as a basketball player is quite full. I had the chance to play at a high school in the United States. This is where I proved myself. Thus, I was ranked among the top 50 players in the United States by ESPN Recruiting. I also had the chance to represent Canada in 3 world championships (Germany and San Antonio in 2010, Lithuania in 2012). I then continued my evolution in one of the most prestigious basketball universities in division 1 in the United States. It was during these three years of experience that I took part in March Madness. In 2018, I had the honor of wearing the colors of my home country of the Democratic Republic of Congo for the qualifications of the Olympic Games in Tunisia.

Between my professional contracts to play in different countries, and when I'm back in Montreal, I also like to give my time to basketball programs such as Les Monarques de Montréal, Page Basketball and the Collège de Maisonneuve Vikings. I can thus assist them in their more advanced basketball training. Throughout my career, I have had to work with young children in order to demonstrate the importance of sport in school life. Working with children made me discover a passion for teaching basketball. This passion motivated me to create my own basketball camp in Montreal in 2018.

My goal is to use the impact I have on young people as a tool to motivate them, advise them and instil discipline in them both in sport and in studies. In other words, I am a mentor and an advisor for several young Montreal basketball players who play in athletic institutions in Canada and the United States.
