Level Me Up Basketball FITNESS is a class for adults looking to stay active through basketball training. The initial goal is to burn 550+ calories per session.
We will start the session with a good warm up. Then we will do a circuit in which we will have stations for physical strength, agility exercises, as well as a fitness station. Our participants will have a chance to do the exercises at each station for a limited time before moving on to the next station.
Once everyone has completed each exercise, we will move on to the specific basketball exercises. We will then practice our skills such as shooting, dribbling and passing.
I'm currently a professional basketball player in Europe. My career as a basketball player is quite full. I had the chance to play in an American high school. I was able to show my skills and I ranked among the top 50 players in the United States by ESPN Recruiting. I also represented Canada in 3 world championships (Germany and San Antonio in 2010, Lithuania in 2012). I then continued my evolution in one of the most prestigious Division 1 basketball universities in the United States. It is during these three years of experience that I took part in the March Madness. In 2018, I had the honour of wearing the colours of my home country of the Democratic Republic of Congo for the Olympic Games qualifiers in Tunisia.
Between my professional contracts to go and play in different countries and being in Montreal, I like to offer my time to basketball programs such as Les Monarques de Montréal, Page Basketball and the Vikings of Collège de Maisonneuve. This allows me to assist them in their more advanced basketball training. Throughout my career, I have had to work with young children to demonstrate the importance of sport in school life. Working with children has made me discover a passion for teaching basketball. This passion motivated me to create my own basketball camp in Montreal in 2018.
My goal is to use the impact I have on young people as a tool to motivate, counsel and instill discipline in them in both sport and academics. In other words, I am a mentor and advisor for many young Montreal basketball players who play in athletic institutions in Canada and the United States.
Organizers will be responsible for respecting and applying sanitary guidelines set out by their local health authorities. Participants, please follow these guidelines to ensure everyone has a fun and safe experience!
We will meet in the Decadium.
Please wear appropriate sports clothing, including basketball shoes used only indoors. Make sure to have your water bottle or performance drink (Gatorade).

Note: As required by the Government of Quebec, any person over 13 years old will have to present his COVID-19 vaccination passport including a QR code provided by the Government of Quebec and confirms that he/she is authorized to access the venue. A photo ID will also be requested.
You can cancel your registration for an activity up to 24 hours before its start time with full reimbursement. If you cancel with less than 24-hour notice, you will not be reimbursed. Sorry!
